His compelling stories have won awards and been published worldwide. Covering the earthquake that shattered Haiti January 12, 2010 was another chapter in the tragic history of this tropic region. Geography and weather, drought and flash flood, relentless heat and oppressive poverty - caught between these forces Haitians summon faith and hope to seek out an existence and still dream.
